Requirements to become a Certified Home Health Aide

To become a Certified Home Health Aide, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Pass the criminal background check

The total cost for Home Health Aide certification training at Wellcare is $500. We offer flexible payment plans to accommodate different needs.

How long does the training take?

The Home Health Aide training program lasts for three weeks.

How long does it take to receive an HHA license?

It generally takes 4 to 8 weeks to be approved for the HHA license.

The training is a blend of online and in-person sessions. The online portion consists of theoretical training while the in-person portion is dedicated to clinicals.
